Annual Parade

On may 30th 2009, 1913 ontario regement cadet corp had there annual inspection and parade. There were about 60 cadets in total.

The parade went great and the inspecting officers liked the cadets performance. We had a great crowd there to watch there cadets. There were performances from the drill team, under command of sargent major larry, doing a spectacular rifle drill routine.

The band also put on a performance, under the command of sargent ryan, played a couple songs including Top Gun Anthem. the biathalon also put on a little, and funny, performance that was well done.

                    J-Ball
She was only 16 when she passed away On Monday January 26th. Jessica was rushed to Port Perry Hospital unresponsive, the Doctors and staff at the hospital ran many tests to see why she wouldn't wake up. Around 10:30pm Monday night Jessica stopped breathing on her own, they had to put her on life support. the air ambulance was called in to rush her into sick kids. At sick kids they ran extensive tests and found that she was no longer with us. Jessica was kept on life support until they took her into the operating room at sick kids hospital at 3am on the 29th of January
Jessica was taken into the operating room at sick kids at 3am thursday morning where the transplant teams removed her organs to save the lives of 6 people. That is what she wanted when she passed, but we're sure she didn't know it would happen so soon.

her family recieved a letter from the gift of life , It that Jessicas organs went to all female recipients. a woman and an infant suffering liver failure recieved her liver, 2 girls a toddler and a teen both with end stage renal disease recieved her kidneys, a young woman with insulin dependant diabetes recieved her pancreas, and a young girl with irreversable heart disease recieved her heart. We're all happy Jessica was able to save the lives she did, but losing her is the worst pain to ever go through. I wouldnt wish the loss of a child on any parent. I know how much the loss of Jessica must hurt the miller family. They are so very proud of Jessica.

J-Ball is a cadet dance put on to raise money for Warrant Officer Jessica Miller's head stone. J-ball took place on May 16th, 2009, from 18:00 - 23:30. although losing jessica has brought great sadness, the dance was a great turn out. Almost everyone had a great time.

Once we have enough money for her headstone, the rest of the money raised will go to our senior cadets that are headed off to college. Before you judge, the reason we can not donate the rest to the Miller family is because the city paid for the funeral and any money raised for the Miller family has to go back to the city or else it is fraud! Personally I think that is unfair but the law is the law. So we are trying to raise money and help in any way possible without being charged with fraud. We all miss Jessica alot.

- There is an Air Cadet and an Army Cadet at canteen drinking. The Army Cadet goes to the washroom and takes a piss. The Air Cadet comes in and also takes a piss. The Army Cadet walks out. The Air Cadet washes his hands and walks out. He goes up to the Army Cadet and says "You know Air Cadets teaches you to wash your hands!". So the Army Cadet replies "You know Army Cadets teaches you not to piss on your hands in the first place!"
